DESALITECH WINS 2016 IDA
TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION
LEADER AWARD IN WATER REUSE

The award was one of three presented at IDA’s International Reuse and Recycling Conference in Nice, France, on September 27, 2016. Desalitech achieved reverse osmosis water recovery rates of 96 per cent at the Padre Dam plant, outpacing the industry’s highest recovery rates of 85 per cent for comparable water. “Desalitech is proud to receive this prestigious award from IDA. It is an important recognition of our ability to treat and reuse water at record-breaking efficiencies, and of our place as leaders in water reuse,” said Desalitech chief executive Nadav Efraty.

Desalitech Receives Breakthrough Water Technology Of The Year Award From Global Water Intelligence

Desalitech was named the winner of the 2016 Global Water Award for Breakthrough Water Technology Company of the Year. The award, announced by Global Water Intelligence (GWI) at their 2016 Summit meeting in Abu Dhabi, was presented by Felipe Calderón, former President of Mexico (2006 – 2012) and Chairman of the Global Commission on the Economy and Climate. Desalitech’s groundbreaking ReFlex reverse osmosis systems have attracted major clients and partnerships among Fortune 500 companies such as Coca-Cola, Southern California Edison, Novelis and Pall who are moving away from inefficient and less reliable traditional reverse osmosis systems. The GWI award acknowledges Desalitech’s emerging leadership in the water treatment and water reuse industry

DESALITECH WINS 2015 GLOBAL
TRADE AWARD FROM ASSOCIATED
INDUSTRIES OF MASSACHUSETTS

The Associated Industries of Massachusetts International Business Council named high efficiency water treatment company Desalitech its 20th annual Global Trade Award. The award recognizes Massachusetts companies and public agencies that have demonstrated excellence in international trade. Specifically, Desalitech was recognized for increasing jobs in the state by entering new global markets, establishing partnerships to increase international trade and investing in infrastructure and manufacturing in Massachusetts. Previous award recipients include notable companies such as Ocean Spray Cranberries, Raytheon, and Philips Electronics North America

Desalitech was recognized for taking a leadership role in the stewardship of the environment at the Newton-Needham Chamber of Commerce’s annual Green Business Breakfast.

The Chamber’s 2015 Green Tech Award was presented to Desalitech, a Newton Corner-based start-up that is at the forefront of an industry that is rethinking outdated water purification technologies and helping our planet manage devastating drought and water shortages. The annual event was held outdoors along the banks of the Charles River, at the Newton-Marriott Hotel. Rich Davey, CEO of Boston 2024, delivered the keynote address and Mike Wankum, meteorologist at WCVB-TV Channel 5 was the master of ceremonies

Desalitech was highlighted as a “key player” in megascale desalinization, one of MIT Technology Review’s prestigious “10 Breakthrough Technologies”. The nomination follows the company’s recent achievement of numerous critical milestones, including a partnership with Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies to bring advanced, cost effective, high recovery water solutions to Mexico and additional countries worldwide as well as $11 million secured in new funding from a consortium of investors
