U.S. based household goods and food/beverage manufacturing plant was treating process water with a legacy reverse osmosis unit. The old unit was achieving only 80% recovery and generating a substantial flow of wastewater that was costly to remove and dispose of. In addition, the plant was challenged to reduce their carbon footprint and overall water use to save costs and meet corporate sustainability goals.
An evaluation of all high efficiency reverse osmosis available led the choice of ReFlex Reverse Osmosis. With two ReFlex Reverse Osmosis units, the facility is producing 600 gpm of high purity process water per day. The ReFlex systems are guaranteed to operate at 90% recovery, reducing the amount of water required by 100,000 gallons per day and saving nearly $500,000 per year. In addition, the ReFlex systems save 35% of the energy that would be required and they perform more reliably than other reverse osmosis systems could due to CCRO technology.
